Mind without Warning

My mind contains glimpses of the world as I have seen it. A sprinkling of memory, the snippet of time, the years I have known and have been taught about.

My mind holds dreams, ambitions, passing thoughts and imagined love affairs. It cradles the people I have known, and the ones I haven’t yet met.

It clings to my nightmares and my foolishness, my passions and trivialities.

And it’s the same for you. Because it’s the same for everyone.

In the early hours, when the light starts scratching at the sky, I’ll go to bed. I’ll miss the morning. The evening is for me. And I have work to do.
