I spent a huge amount of my teenage life watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. As such, when the series came out, on DVD, with magazine, in weekly instalments, I was right there on the Reserved list at the shop.
After sixteen weeks, the Buffy discs started alternating with Angel discs. And that’s how I discovered Andy Hallett.
As Lorne (Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan), the green-tinted, aura-reading demon with the lounge-karaoke bar, where the demonic and afflicted come to sing and have their futures read by Lorne, Andy Hallett was fabulous.
Especially when the main themes are brooding and heavy, it’s so important to have some comic relief and heart. Andy Hallett brought both those vital qualities, along with an endlessly enviable set of pipes.
