⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I really liked this short story by Alan M. Clark. The characters are well-crafted and the story, profound.
In Brittle Bones and Old Rope, a dead child, Dylan, seeks to find meaning in life and other people before moving on to an unknown future, from the field beyond the graveyard.
I found the writing powerful and the relationships intriguing. The imagery was strong and, even though the story is short, I found myself caring about the characters remarkably quickly.
I really look forward to reading more from this author. Recommended.
