An extraordinary film. Just – extraordinary.

I really couldn’t tell you if it’s because it features an all-child cast. Or whether it’s because the singing voices are adult voices dubbed in. There’s something rather wonderful about all the boys suddenly singing in man-voice and then, slipping back into lad-tones when they move into dialogue, and then, Jodie Foster, speaking in slightly richer, darker tones, and then this little, candy-floss singing voice coming out in the Tallulah song.

The story is great, the songs are infectious, the casting is perfection, and that’s the rest of my afternoon gone.
