I have a friend who sings. Actually, let’s start again.

I imagine I have several friends who sing – in the shower, in the car, at karaoke, waiting for the night bus, if a Barry Manilow song comes up unexpectedly in an advert and thus, they find themselves leaping onto the coffee table and crooning their lungs out.

No? Maybe that’s just me.

Anyway, I have a friend who’s the singer in a band.

Of course, from my side, living with dogs means that music has to be carefully selected. Pumpkin doesn’t much sit on my lap. I don’t know what’s wrong with my lap. I suspect it isn’t long enough but whatever… she doesn’t bother with me if the sofa is available.

Unless, that is, I’m listening to Lenny & Lime. Then, she’ll sit on me for minutes at a time. Even though Pumpkin is genuinely scared of people, and even though the sound of people talking, whispering, whistling, humming, is enough to get her barking, she loves Lenny’s voice.

As does everyone I know who’s heard it.

I have taken my mobile up to the Legion and plonked it in an empty pint jug to increase the volume on my phone (Great life-hack, that).

Do feel free to follow the link and give them a listen. I love this one.

Did you hear that?

I mean, good lord.

The band has their own Facebook page (which you can find here: https://en-gb.facebook.com/Lenny.Lime.Acoustic.Music.Covers.Act.Devon/ )

They do loads of gigs around my local area and here’s the thing: they’re even better live.

I know.

I don’t know how that’s possible either.

But there you have it. Day 208 of #365HappyDays – Lenny & Lime.
