Now, this will not come as a surprise to anyone who knows me. I can’t do a three-minute plank. Of course, I can’t. I live for the day I have that kind of core strength, but I’m not there yet.
This is an ambition.
I don’t see planking as a bad way of maintaining some level of fitness. My main problem with it is boredom. It’s not as if I can take a book with me. And, okay, in terms of practicality, yes – I probably could take a book with me, but I wouldn’t be able to turn the pages. Plank and page-turning suggests a level of fitness I daren’t even dream of. So, how to plank for a decent length of time without getting bored?
After some considerable thought, I think I’d have to have someone underneath me. It’s only fair.
