So, as I get my breath back from yesterday’s debacle, I find myself thinking about the cover for book two.
Yesterday’s debacle, because I don’t think I mentioned it to you, was enormous. To me. Aimée didn’t think it was really a problem.
I’d received the proof copy of my paperback. Delighted, my face suddenly fell because I noticed I’d left out the word ‘has’ from my blurb.
“… Due to the ridicule she endured from Roland, her disappointing husband of two decades…”
Needs changing to “… Due to the ridicule she has endured from Roland, her disappointing husband of two decades…”
I mean – good Lord.
So, my cover lady is hard at work, inserting the ‘has’. She’s been very sweet to me, and it is better than I found it before it went to print.
I suppose, if I get lousy reviews, at least now I will know – it’s not because of the blurb.
