Tend, tend, to repeat myself.

I like to think I’m just working through the drafts of my conversation rather than out-and-out hiccuping thoughts.

We’ve just settled down to watch ‘The Limehouse Golem’ (2017), starring Bill Nighy, Olivia Cooke and Douglas Booth – it’s a cracker of a murder-mystery, grizzly, labyrinthine and compelling. I first watched it last week, in preparation for Movie Night and the discovery of a spot for the interval.

I showed it at the Club on Monday night. Now, I’m watching it with Aimée. It’s very much her sort of thing. Dark, eerie, nothing is as it seems.

Sadly, she knows the story. I’ve told her eight times, apparently. I got a bit caught up but managed not to give the ending away.

I love Bill Nighy.
